"What a wonderful surprise - two puppies in her front yard! The neighbor behind her house has been feeding a stray dog for awhile now, but no other care for the animal. No shots, no trip to the vet to be spayed, not even a name for the dog - and so there are puppies. And two of these 'unwanted puppies' have found their way into her yard."

This little story is just that - a story, to go with the painting. But unfortunately, the part about the stray dog and the neighbor behind OUR house is true. She is a wonderful dog, very sweet tempered - my husband and I call her Pretty Girl. Our neighbors don't call her anything. They just feed her. And she has now had her 3rd litter of puppies - nine of them! The two in the painting are from pictures of the puppies - when they wandered into our yard.

Please, please, spay or neuter your pets.
